AI & Health Technology Curriculum
A comprehensive pilot curriculum developed by the AI in Medical Education Task Force to foster student competencies in the clinical use of AI tools.
About the Curriculum
This faculty–student task force is charged with developing a blueprint to foster student competencies in the clinical use of AI tools and to strengthen institutional support for the responsible and effective use of AI by both students and faculty.
The pilot curriculum is designed to help medical students understand how AI is shaping medicine — its foundations, applications, and implications for clinical practice. Through interactive sessions and hands-on experience, students will gain practical knowledge about AI's role in modern healthcare.
Collaborating Across Medical Schools
We work alongside other medical schools and healthcare education programs to share knowledge and expand AI literacy in medical education. Through ongoing collaboration, we're helping build a national community of educators and students dedicated to understanding AI's role in healthcare.
Our Collaborative Approach
- Shared Resources: Educational materials and curriculum frameworks developed collaboratively and freely available to medical education programs
- Knowledge Exchange: Regular sharing of insights, best practices, and lessons learned across institutions
- Open Access: All curriculum content is freely available for adaptation to different institutional contexts
- Community Building: Connecting educators, researchers, and students across institutions who are passionate about AI in medicine
Interested in collaborating? We welcome connections with other medical education programs working to integrate AI literacy into their curricula. Reach out to share ideas and resources.
